First Command Financial Services in Fort Worth is looking for a freelance presentation developer to assist key members of the Corporate Marketing Department. Working mostly from home, this individual will spend about 20 hours a week creating presentations on a variety of topics for delivery in all venues. The candidate should have expertise in Power Point as well as a proven ability to develop presentation content that will help speakers persuasively and effectively communicate with their audiences. Graduate Recruitment Marketing Coordinator
This is professional work requiring editing, writing, planning and coordinating tasks for the production of university graduate advertising and marketing materials, as assigned. Work involves the writing of graduate marketing materials including brochures, larger publications and advertising, etc.; aligning UNT's strategic messaging in all graduate materials to achieve the mission and vision of the institution; and working collaboratively with URCM leadership, undergraduate recruitment marketing coordinator, along with others in a team environment. This person may lead a team or participate as a team member. This position is knowledgeable about the university, current recruitment trends and appropriate content, style and information gathering techniques. This employee receives direct supervision from the Recruitment Marketing Manager and may supervise students or direct a work team.
Three years experience in professional writing, editing or producing publications; a bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or related field; or any equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
The following knowledge, skills and abilities are essential to perform the duties of this position:
- Skill in using Microsoft products, such as Word, Excel, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of the basic principles and sound practices of grammar and punctuation and the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of generally accepted publication procedures with extensive knowledge of Associated Press
style.
- Ability to visually inspect printed and online materials.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects.

News Promotion Specialist II
This is responsible journalistic work preparing and using a variety of public relations skills to develop and place stories about the university in the global, national and regional media markets as well as to plan and execute public relations projects; all with the aim of showcasing the university's strongest assets and supporting UNT's progress in the achievement of its mission and goals. The work requires knowledge of general scientific, artistic and academic areas in order to conduct in-depth interviews with faculty, researchers, staff and others; to interpret professional, educational, scientific and artistic terms and jargon; and to synthesize technical information in language that is technically accurate, understandable and interesting to a lay audience. Supervision is received from the News Promotion Manager.
Three years of professional writing experience at a newspaper or in a college or university public relations office; and a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Journalism or English; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, or training.

News Promotion Manager
This is administrative and professional work guiding a team of news promotion specialists in the development and placement of stories about the university in the global, national and regional media markets to showcase the university's strongest assets and support UNT's progress in the achievement of its mission and goals. The person in this position will create and implement short-term and long-range plans to integrate news promotion efforts with UNT's Strategic Plan, communication and branding goals. The news manager also participates on the crisis management response team. In fulfilling the duties of the position, the news manager must make the best use of all media outlet opportunities when placing UNT news stories: print (newspapers, magazines, trades, wires and others) and electronic (television, e-newsletters, wires, blogs, news web sites, social media sites and others), maximizing news placement within higher education media and associations (the Chronicle, Academic Impressions, UB Daily, ACE, AAUP, CPUPC, etc.) The employee in this class receives direct supervision from the Director of University Relations and Communications.
Seven years of professional experience in journalism and/or public relations and a bachelor's degree in journalism, communication or a related field; experience in higher education; three to five years of experience as a manager who motivates employees and encourages a team approach; or any equivalent combination of experience, education and training.

Director of Integrated Branding
This is professional work requiring strategic analytic leadership. Work involves leading teams and committees; developing, executing and implementing campus pride and integrated branding plans; analyzing metrics and developing budgets to advance appropriate initiatives; providing strategic vision; overseeing the development of recruitment marketing and image materials; staying abreast of and conducting market research as well as using new technologies and media; and managing staff, among other duties.
